What is this?
A self-hosted AV (Japanese adult video) library: a PHP/Laravel web app with built-in crawlers for avmoo, javbus and javlibrary that builds a local, searchable database of movies and magnet links.
Is this a desktop program or a website I run myself?
A website you host on your own machine, not a desktop app: once Laragon is running, you open it in a browser at the local address avbook.test (127.0.0.1).
How do I get it running?
Unpack the release archive to D:\laragon, run laragon.exe and click Start All, then open the site in your browser.
Does it have to be installed to D:\laragon, or can I put it anywhere?
It expects to live in D:\laragon. Anywhere else you have to edit the Nginx config and php.ini yourself and manually add 127.0.0.1 avbook.test to your hosts file.
Is it Windows-only, or can I run it on Linux too?
The turnkey package is for Windows: it unpacks to D:\laragon and runs on Laragon, a Windows local-server bundle. On other systems you would have to set up the Nginx and PHP stack yourself.
Can I use and modify it freely?
Yes, it is MIT-licensed: free to use, modify and self-host, including for commercial purposes.
Does it play or download the videos, or is it just a catalog?
It is a catalog and magnet-link database: it stores movie info and magnet links that you open with your own BitTorrent client. The README mentions no built-in player or downloader.
The release archive is password-protected — what is the password?
The password is printed right in the README: gyym.avbook.bt.01.
How do I keep the crawler sources up to date?
Run git pull in the Laragon terminal to update to the latest version before starting the crawler.
