Remove Windows Ai

Why?

The current 25H2 build of Windows 11 and future builds will include increasingly more AI features and components. This script aims to remove ALL of these features to improve user experience, privacy and security.

[!WARNING] Some third party anti-viruses will falsely detect the script as malicious, obviously this is a false positive and the anti-virus will need to be temporarily disabled or set the script as an exclusion.

Due to the nature of making advanced changes to the system many debloat tools/scripts will be falsely detected as malware... if you are unsure about the script I always recommend testing any software in a virtual machine first

You can view the newest updates to the script here: https://github.com/zoicware/RemoveWindowsAI/commits/main/

[!NOTE]
Any feature added to an Insider build will not be added to this script till it's added to the latest stable release

If you find an AI feature or registry key that is not currently removed or disabled by the script submit an issue with as much information as possible and I will add it to the script.

RemoveWindowsAI (zoicware/RemoveWindowsAI)

Searching Database…

What is this?RemoveWindowsAI is a PowerShell script that force-removes Copilot, Recall, Image Creator and other AI features Microsoft keeps adding to Windows 11, to improve privacy, security and user experience.
Is this a GUI app or just a script I run?It is a PowerShell script you run from the console as Administrator; it can also be launched with an optional UI for picking which AI features to remove, or driven entirely from the command line with flags.
How do I run it?Open Windows PowerShell as Administrator and run the provided compact command (or launch the UI), or call it non-interactively with specific command-line options to remove, exclude, or install classic apps.
Does it need a specific PowerShell version?Yes, it must be run with Windows PowerShell 5.1 — running it under PowerShell 7 is no longer supported and will cause issues.
Will my antivirus flag this? Some third-party antivirus software falsely flags the script as malicious because it makes advanced system changes; you may need to temporarily disable it or add an exclusion, and testing in a VM first is recommended if unsure.
Can I undo the changes after running it?Only if you enable Backup Mode before running the script — it creates a system restore point so you can fully revert everything afterward.
Does the script keep up with new Windows AI features? The author updates it to target the latest stable Windows build, though new AI features only get added once they leave Insider builds and ship to stable.
Can I run it without the interactive menu or UI?Yes, it supports a non-interactive mode where you pass specific options (including options to exclude or to install classic non-AI apps) directly on the command line.
