Airgorah is a WiFi security auditing software that can capture nearby WiFi traffic, discover clients connected to access points, perform deauthentication attacks, capture handshakes and PMKIDs, and crack the password of access points.

It is written in Rust and uses GTK4 for the graphical part.

⭐ Don't forget to put a star if you like the project!

⚠️ Airgorah is designed to be used in testing and discovering flaws in networks you are owner of. Performing attacks on WiFi networks you are not owner of is illegal in almost all countries. I am not responsible for whatever damage you may cause by using this software.

Requirements

This software only works on linux. The graphical interface runs as a normal user (so it works under both X11 and Wayland). When a privileged operation is needed, it launches a small privileged agent (airgorah-agent) via polkit, which will prompt for authentication once.

You will also need a wireless network card that supports monitor mode and packet injection.

What is this?Airgorah is a WiFi security auditing tool written in Rust that captures nearby WiFi traffic, discovers clients connected to access points, performs deauthentication attacks, captures handshakes and PMKIDs, and cracks access point passwords.
Is this a GUI app or a command-line tool?It is a desktop GUI application built with GTK4; a separate small privileged helper process (airgorah-agent) handles operations that need elevated rights.
How do I install and run it?The README points to a dedicated installation guide for setup steps rather than listing commands inline; once installed you run the GTK4 GUI as a normal user.
What hardware do I need to run it?You need a wireless network card that supports both monitor mode and packet injection, since those are required to capture traffic and run attacks.
Is it legal to use on any WiFi network? No — it's meant only for networks you own; running these attacks on networks you don't own is illegal in almost all countries, and the author takes no responsibility for misuse.
Does it work on Windows or macOS too?No, it only runs on Linux, and works under both X11 and Wayland display servers.
Why does it need a privileged agent instead of running as root?Monitor mode and packet injection need elevated privileges, so Airgorah runs the main GUI as a normal user and only launches a small privileged helper (airgorah-agent) via polkit, which prompts for authentication once when needed.
What is a PMKID and why does Airgorah capture it?PMKID is a hash some access points send in the first handshake message, letting Airgorah attempt a password crack without waiting for a client to connect, as an alternative to a full 4-way handshake capture.
Does Airgorah crack passwords itself, or do I need a separate tool?It handles the whole chain itself — capturing the handshake or PMKID and then running the password-cracking step against the access point.
Can I use Airgorah to test any WiFi network I find? No, the README explicitly says it's for auditing networks you own; testing networks you don't own is illegal in nearly all countries.
