Information gathering framework for phone numbers

About

PhoneInfoga is one of the most advanced tools to scan international phone numbers. It allows you to first gather basic information such as country, area, carrier and line type, then use various techniques to try to find the VoIP provider or identify the owner. It works with a collection of scanners that must be configured in order for the tool to be effective. PhoneInfoga doesn't automate everything, it's just there to help investigating on phone numbers.

Current status

This project is stable but unmaintained. Upcoming bugs won't be fixed and repository could be archived at any time.

What is this?An open-source OSINT framework for scanning international phone numbers. It gathers basics like country, area, carrier and line type, then tries to find the VoIP provider or identify the owner.
Is it a command-line tool, or does it have an interface? Both. You can scan from the command line, use the built-in web GUI to run scans from your browser, or go programmatic via the REST API and Go modules.
How do I get it running?Install the binary via Docker or Homebrew (a Makefile is included for building from source), then scan from the CLI or start the server and use the web UI.
Do I need to configure anything for it to work well?Yes. It relies on a collection of scanners that must be configured to be effective, plus external APIs, phone books and search engines for OSINT footprinting.
Can it track where a phone is, or hack it?No real-time tracking, no precise location, no phone hacking. It also doesn't claim its data is relevant or verified — treat results as leads for your own investigation, not facts.
Is PhoneInfoga still maintained? No. The project is stable but unmaintained — upcoming bugs won't be fixed and the repository could be archived at any time, so expect to troubleshoot on your own.
What does a scan actually tell me about a number?Whether the number exists, its country, line type and carrier, plus OSINT footprinting: reputation reports, social media, disposable numbers, and possibly the VoIP provider or owner.
How does it find who owns a number? It doesn't automate everything — you configure the scanners and drive the investigation while the tool chains external APIs, phone books and search engines to surface the VoIP provider or owner.
