Translating

iloader needs localization! If you speak another language and notice iloader does not support it or has mistakes, please consider contributing.

To update/edit an existing language, make a PR modifying src/locales/<lang>.json.

To add a new language, add your language to src/i18next.ts, and in src/locales copy en.json to a new file titled <langcode>.json and update the strings.

i18next.ts:

const languages = [
  ["en", "English"],
  ["es", "Español"],
  // Your language here...
] as const;

You can also add your name to the translators section of the README.

Thank you for translating!

Building from source

  1. Install bun (or Node.js) and Rust
  2. Clone the repository and cd into it
  3. Run bun i (or npm i)

For development with hot reload: bun tauri dev (or npm run tauri dev) Make a production build: bun tauri build (or npm run tauri build)

Searching Database…

What is this?iloader is a user-friendly sideloader for iOS devices that lets you install SideStore (or other apps) and import your device's pairing file with ease.
Is this a mobile app or something I run on my computer?It's a desktop app built with Tauri for Windows, macOS, and Linux; you plug your iPhone/iPad into your computer and the app talks to it over USB.
How do I get it running?Install usbmuxd for your platform, download the latest release for your OS, plug in your iDevice, open the app, sign into your Apple ID, and pick an action like installing SideStore.
Do I need anything installed before I run it?You need usbmuxd for your platform: it comes via iTunes on Windows, is included on macOS, and may need to be installed from your package manager on Linux.
Where should I actually download it from?Only this GitHub repo and iloader.app are official; Homebrew cask, the AUR package, and the Fedora COPR repo are unofficial community builds, and other sources should be avoided.
Is the whole project MIT licensed, including the branding?The source code is MIT licensed, but the iloader name, logos, and media assets are explicitly excluded and covered by a separate branding license.
What can iloader do besides installing SideStore?It can sideload any IPA, give intelligent error suggestions, manage pairing files used by apps like StikDebug and Protokolle, and let you view and revoke your development certificates and app IDs.
Is iloader available in languages other than English?Yes, it has been community-translated into over two dozen languages including German, French, Japanese, Arabic, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese via the i18next locale files.
What do I do if the app isn't working?Check the in-app 'View Logs' screen (switch log level to Debug if nothing shows), or look at the log files stored under your OS's app-data folder, then ask on the idevice Discord server or open an issue.
