On older models (before 2018/2019) this project is the only implementation available, so there is no real alternative.

Do not enable test signing or install certificates manually, and fully uninstall Trackpad++ first if you had it.

T2-based Macs run a fallback driver, so the feel may not be optimal.

Fittingly, he does not own a MacBook himself — development happens on a Surface Pro 4.

The README stresses full removal before reinstalling other drivers like Trackpad++.
