Bloodborne for Windows

Bloodborne running natively on Windows 10 and 11, by Supermedo Mohammed Albarghouthi.

The original PlayStation 4 game runs directly on your PC: its own x86-64 code runs natively, and the graphics are translated to Vulkan. No emulator window, no setup scripts: unpack the zip, start Bloodborne.exe, pick your game folder and press PLAY.

No game files are included. You need your own decrypted dump of Bloodborne (CUSA03173). Version 1.09 is needed for the community patches (60/90/unlocked FPS, resolution, effects); other versions run at 30 FPS. This project is not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or FromSoftware.

Known issues

Problems and feedback

Ask on the Discord server, or open an issue and attach user\last_run.log from the game folder, with your graphics card and what happened. If the game shows only a black screen, try Advanced → Clear shader cache first.

Building from source

See packaging/windows/README.md: MSYS2 CLANG64, bash build.sh, then bash packaging/windows/package.sh. DLSS is built separately with packaging/windows/build_dlss.sh.

What is this?A native Windows port of Bloodborne that runs the PS4 game's own x86-64 code directly on your PC and translates its graphics calls to Vulkan, wrapped in a launcher that handles settings, upscaling, cheats and updates.
Is this an emulator running the PS4 version in a virtual console? No - it is not an emulator. The game's native code runs directly on Windows and only the graphics layer is translated to Vulkan, so there's no emulator window or setup scripts, just unpack and launch.
How do I get it running?Download the zip from Releases, unpack it anywhere, run Bloodborne.exe, point it at your game folder (the one with eboot.bin), and press PLAY.
Do I need to already own Bloodborne?Yes - the project ships no game files. You need your own decrypted dump of Bloodborne (CUSA03173), and specifically version 1.09 if you want the community FPS, resolution and effects patches.
Are there known bugs I should expect? The character preview on the creation screen stays blank (the character itself is fine in-game), some AMD cards still crash on world load, and pushing the frame cap above 120 FPS actually slows in-game movement, a limit of the original game.
What hardware do I need to run it?Windows 10 (1903+) or Windows 11, 64-bit, with a GPU that supports Vulkan 1.3 and a current driver; DLSS needs an NVIDIA RTX 20-series card or newer, while AMD FSR 3.1/4 covers the rest.
What upscaling and performance options are included?NVIDIA DLSS on RTX 20-series and newer, AMD FSR 3.1 and FSR 4, plus native-resolution TAA, with output from 720p to 4K and an unlocked frame rate (120 by default) or fixed 30/60/90 FPS.
What kind of cheats and mods does it support? The launcher has a cheats page (never die, stealth, silent footsteps, endless Rally, enemy control, camera/ragdoll tweaks) and loads mods and third-party patches without touching your original game files.
Where does this project come from? It's built on bbport, the native Linux port of Bloodborne by deadinside28, and on the shadPS4 renderer, combined with FSR-Vulkan, AMD FidelityFX and an adapted DLSS bridge.
Will updating wipe my saves or mods?No - the launcher just tells you when a new version is out and installs it via Update, keeping your saves, settings and mods intact.
