About the service

GitHub.Locker is an independent catalog and organizer for GitHub repositories. It is operated by Roman in the USA and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by GitHub.

GitHub authorization and star actions

To sign in and work with public stars, GitHub.Locker asks GitHub for the public_repo OAuth scope. GitHub describes this scope as read and write access to public repositories, including the permission required for public repository starring. The service uses that authorization for public repository metadata and for actions you ask it to perform, such as starring or unstarring public repositories.

You choose each GitHub account action. You can revoke the authorization in GitHub account settings. Logging out ends the GitHub.Locker session; it does not delete your account or revoke GitHub authorization.

Catalog information and AI output

Repository metadata and README material can be used to create project briefs and summaries. They may be incomplete, stale, or incorrect. AI output is provided for orientation and does not guarantee a project's behavior, security, compatibility, license, or suitability for a purpose.

The license of a repository is the license published with that repository. Information shown by GitHub.Locker does not replace the repository's own license or notices.

Tags and contributions

Personal tags, settings, lists, votes, and moderation data are associated with your account where the feature requires it. Community tags and related public activity may be displayed to other users.

When you submit a tag, description, vote, or other contribution, you give GitHub.Locker a limited permission to host, process, and display it as part of the service. You keep ownership of your contribution; this permission does not transfer it.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect GitHub's rules. Do not use it to send spam, interfere with another person's account, bypass security or access controls, probe or disrupt the service, or obtain access to data you are not authorized to use.

Availability and changes

GitHub.Locker may change, suspend, or interrupt features, including when a provider or GitHub changes its service. The service is offered as available and does not promise continuous availability or a particular response time.

Pro subscription and billing

GitHub.Locker is free to use. Pro is an optional subscription for $5 a month that adds notifications, custom and community tags, the Ponytail companion and an ad-free site; the current list is on the pricing page.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.

Pro renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Membership in your profile menu; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and no further payment is taken. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment by writing to [email protected] or replying to the Paddle receipt. GitHub.Locker keeps the local subscription identifiers and status needed to provide Pro; card details stay with Paddle.

Disclaimers and mandatory rights

To the extent permitted by law, GitHub.Locker makes no guarantee that catalog data, summaries, license labels, star actions, or the service will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for your needs. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
