What is GitHub.Locker?

What does signing in with GitHub add?
Signing in brings your own starred repositories into My Stars, lets you save up to 50 selections of tags as folders and keep favorite tags at hand. Pro, for $5 a month, adds notifications for new releases, star milestones, breakouts and your folders, custom and community tags, the Ponytail companion and no ads.
How do projects get into the catalog?
New projects are found every day in public sources such as GitHub Trending, Hacker News and Lobsters. A project joins the catalog once it has more than 100 stars and a push within the last year, and its stars gained are counted from GitHub's daily star history.
How fresh is the catalog, and who writes the briefs?
Star gains are recounted every day once GitHub's day closes at midnight Pacific time, and new projects arrive daily. The short questions and answers on each card are written by an AI model from the project's public README and GitHub metadata, so they can contain mistakes; a wrong tag can be reported right on the card, and anything else by email.
