Legend:

pr-calendar is setup-required but portable: it works anywhere the agent can use the newsjack CLI or a connected Medialyst MCP/connector. The calendar endpoint is free; login is required only to prevent abuse. Consumer ChatGPT is the exception for now because of the same skill-loading limitation called out above.

Claude.ai & Cowork

Install the Newsjack plugin:

  1. Open Customize.
  2. Go to Personal plugins.
  3. Click Create plugin.
  4. Choose Add marketplace.
  5. Choose Add from a repository.
  6. In the repository URL field, enter elvisun/newsjack and confirm.
  7. Open the new elvisun/newsjack marketplace, find the newsjack@newsjack plugin, and click Install.
  8. (Optional) Unlock the 🔧 skills by connecting a Medialyst account so your agent can access live news search, PR calendar lookup, journalist enrichment, and approval-gated media list research. In local agent harnesses, run newsjack login and approve the printed Medialyst link. If you don't have an account you can create a free one on the Medialyst signup page.
  9. (Optional) Back in Claude, find the Medialyst connector under the installed Newsjack plugin page, click Connect on the Medialyst connector and authorize it over OAuth.

For project setup in a local Claude Code plugin install, start with newsjack auth status, then run newsjack login if it says project tools are not enabled before asking the agent to create or open a Medialyst project, add project memory, or upload project files.

Note: A community marketplace plugin, newsjack@claude-community, is pending review and will be added soon.

The two always-on monitors run here in ⚠️ Limited Mode — a best-effort, one-shot scan with nothing saved. For saved, scheduled monitoring, use a local agent.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT runs Newsjack only in a degraded ⚠️ form, because Skills aren't available on consumer accounts. For the full toolkit, use ChatGPT Work or OpenAI's Codex.

ChatGPT Work

ChatGPT Work has the Skills beta, so Newsjack runs there at the same level as Cowork: everything except the two setup skills and press-clip, which need a local agent.

С какими агентами он на самом деле работает?Он создан для локальных агентов — Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, OpenClaw, — а также работает внутри Claude.ai, Cowork и ChatGPT Work (бета Skills); обычному ChatGPT достаётся лишь урезанный вариант, ведь Skills он не поддерживает.
Все ли навыки работают одинаково везде?Нет — в браузерных чат-приложениях большинство навыков идёт в одноразовом «Limited Mode» без сохранения между сессиями (ни сохранённого отпечатка голоса, ни планового мониторинга), а press-clip и два навыка настройки вовсе требуют локального агента, потому что управляют настоящим браузером или сохраняют локальный конфиг.
Для кого это создано?Для основателей, которые сами ведут свой PR, для PR-агентств, у которых аккаунтов больше, чем поспевают сотрудники, и для маркетологов небольших компаний, которым нужен рычаг, а не лишние люди в штате.
Для чего нужен набор инструментов AI-видимости (AEO/GEO)?Цепочка навыков во главе с /build-ai-visibility-panel превращает публичный URL и описание компании в подкреплённую доказательствами панель тестовых промптов по намерению покупателя, этапу пути и близости к бренду; с её помощью отслеживают, действительно ли ваши факты всплывают в ответах ИИ, без фальшивых оценок.
Что делает навык /press-clip?Он превращает URL живой статьи в фирменный PDF-пресс-клип, сохраняя родные логотип и вёрстку издания, вычищая рекламу и подсвечивая упоминание клиента; так как он управляет настоящим браузером Chrome/Edge через Playwright, работает только в локальных агентах.
Платно ли пользоваться Newsjack?CLI и навыки бесплатны и open-source; нескольким навыкам нужен подключённый аккаунт Medialyst для живого поиска новостей, обогащения данных о журналистах и проработки медиасписков, а Medialyst даёт бесплатную регистрацию.
Чем отличается запуск в Claude Code от Claude.ai?Claude Code как локальный агент исполняет каждый навык полностью, включая навыки настройки и браузерную автоматизацию press-clip, а Claude.ai и Cowork исполняют большинство навыков, но переводят постоянно работающие мониторы в одноразовый Limited Mode без сохранения между сессиями.
