Motivation 🤔

These videos on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram get MILLIONS of views across all platforms and require very little effort. The only original thing being done is the editing and gathering of all materials...

... but what if we can automate that process? 🤔

What is this?A Python bot that turns Reddit posts into short-form videos with text-to-speech narration and background footage, ready to upload to TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram.
Is this a library I import, or a standalone script I run?It is a standalone Python command-line bot you clone and run locally, not a library you import into another project.
How do I get it running?Clone the repo, create a virtual environment, install the requirements, install Playwright, then run the bot and connect it to a Reddit 'script' app you create on the Reddit Apps page.
Do I need a Reddit API key to use it?Yes, you must register a 'script' type app on Reddit's apps page to get API credentials; Python 3.10 is required and Playwright installs automatically during setup.
Does it automatically upload the finished video to TikTok or YouTube? No, the bot only produces a video file on your machine; you still have to upload it manually, which is intentional to avoid platform community-guideline issues.
Does it work on Windows as well as macOS and Linux?Yes, the README gives separate setup commands for Windows and for macOS/Linux, plus an experimental one-line install script for Debian, Arch, Fedora, and CentOS-based systems.
Can I choose the background footage and music myself?Yes, you can pick a background (the default is Minecraft parkour footage) and choose background music for each video.
Can I target a specific subreddit or thread instead of a random one?Yes, you can configure the bot to pull from a specific subreddit, and you can even pick an exact thread instead of letting it randomize.
Does it filter out NSFW Reddit posts?Yes, there is a built-in NSFW post filter so flagged content is skipped automatically.
Can I change the narrator's voice?Yes, the bot lets you choose between different text-to-speech voices for narration.
