What is this?
A C++ editor plugin for Unreal Engine that adds DaVinci Resolve-style color grading tools to a Post Process Volume, replicating DaVinci's Log Color Wheels and its Color Warper (here called Spider Web).
Is this a standalone app or something I add to my UE project?
It's a C++ Unreal Engine plugin you drop into your project's Plugins folder, enable, and compile - not a standalone application.
How do I get the color grading tools into my project?
Copy the ColorGradePanel folder into your project's Plugins/ directory, enable it in the .uproject, reopen the project and let UE compile the plugin, then add a Post Process Volume to the level and attach the 'Color Grade Panel' component to it from the Details panel.
What do I need installed before this will even compile?
Unreal Engine 5.8 (source or Launcher build capable of compiling C++ plugins) and Visual Studio 2019/2022 on Windows.
Will this work in a packaged game build?
No - it is strictly an editor tool for grading, preview, and rendering, and is not intended to run in packaged game builds.
Does it only work on Windows?
The build requirements call out Visual Studio 2019/2022 on Windows specifically, with no mention of Mac or Linux support, so it should be treated as Windows-only for now.
What do the Log Color Wheels control?
Four wheels - Shadow, Midtone, Highlight, and Offset - each control a different luminance range similar to DaVinci's Log Primaries mode. Dragging the dot shifts hue, the Master box adjusts brightness, and Split sliders move the boundaries between ranges.
What does the Spider Web tool do?
It mirrors DaVinci's Color Warper: a hue disk with a grid where dragging any intersection point remaps the color at that hue. A Warp Strength slider sets drag sensitivity and a Reset Warp button clears all changes.
Are there any known bugs to watch out for?
The Spider Web shows a brief white-screen flicker while you drag a point, but the README notes this is cosmetic and doesn't affect the final grade.
