What is this?
A curated collection of badges — ready-made images you paste into your GitHub profile README to show off your tools and skills and make the page stand out.
How is the collection organized?
One menu of 45+ categorized tables: static badges, then academic, analytics, AI, blockchain, cloud, IDEs, languages, security, social, streaming, web browsers and more, plus a separate Dynamic section.
How do I add one of these badges to my profile?
Find a badge in the list via Ctrl+F (⌘F on Mac), copy its URL into an image tag, and paste the tag into your profile README.md — nothing to install or host.
Will the badges keep working once I paste them in?
The repo only curates links: each badge is an image served by a third-party service, so if that service or path changes, the badge simply stops rendering. The README mentions no fallbacks.
Do these badges only work on GitHub profile pages?
The list targets GitHub profile READMEs, but every badge is just a plain image tag, so it renders anywhere markdown does — project READMEs, wikis, docs pages.
Is there an example of what a profile with these badges looks like?
Yes — the README opens with a link to a sample profile, so you can see the end result before copying any badge.
What is the difference between the static and dynamic badge sections?
Static badges are fixed images you paste as-is. The Dynamic section collects badges that change over time — like live stats — instead of staying the same picture.
Can I get my own badge added to the list?
Yes — the README has a How To Contribute section for proposing additions, and a Creators section credits the people behind the badges.
