What is this?
A production-grade Blender skill suite built for the Codex coding agent, covering native modeling, Geometry Nodes, simulation, materials, topology and scene validation, plus a reference-image 3D reconstruction workflow.
Is this a Blender plugin or something else?
It is not a Blender add-on itself, but a folder of Skill definitions for Codex: a single router skill plus six domain-specific Specialist Skills it dispatches work to.
How do I start using it?
Drop this repository into Codex's Skills directory; from then on blender-production-router acts as the single entry point that routes any Blender task to the right specialist skill.
Does it need a specific Blender version or MCP setup?
It targets Blender 5.2 LTS together with the official Blender MCP by default; any third-party local asset library is only used read-only if it already exists and passes a runtime check, never auto-installed.
Does it ship or modify third-party asset libraries like Blueish?
No, it ships none of those asset files and never auto-installs or edits them; it only reads them if they're already present, and reference data needs re-probing per environment since it changes with Blender version and local assets.
How does it decide between native Blender tools and Geometry Nodes?
It defaults to native systems like Boolean, Array and Physics for everyday tasks, only switching to Geometry Nodes when fields, scattering, instancing or procedural topology give a clear advantage — it won't use nodes just for the sake of it.
What does blender-production-router actually do?
For non-trivial tasks it builds routing decisions, construction relationships, production stages, scoring and technical-verification artifacts before handing work to a specialist skill.
What kind of scenes has it been used to produce?
Showcased examples include a corridor with doors, a moonlit wooden bridge, an underwater circular space, flooded industrial interiors, a subway platform and a fisheye elevator shaft.
What does the geometry-validation skill check before a scene is finished?
It checks topology, mesh connectivity, collisions, performance and general scene-safety as a final quality gate.
