Check my PC finds 4 things slowing the PC down. Fix all sets the monitor to 165 Hz and waits while the screen cable and a network cable are plugged in. Measured again, the same PC goes from 118 to 231 FPS

Fix VAN 1067, FPS drops and lag in VALORANT. Free, in about a minute.

Your game won't start, stutters or lags? Pitstop finds out why in about a minute and fixes what it can, with one-click undo. It never touches the game, Vanguard or Windows security.

Download

System File
Windows 10 and 11 pc-game-fps-doctor.zip One zip. No installer, no admin rights

Unpack the whole folder and start Main.exe. No installer, no admin rights.

Main.exe is code-signed, so Windows starts it without a warning. Keep Pitstop next to it: they ship together.

How to use

  1. Open Pitstop and press Check my PC.
  2. Press Fix all. Pitstop shows you how to do the rest.
  3. Press Measure again and share your before and after.

What it fixes

Won't start

VAN 9003: VALORANT won't start because Secure Boot is off. Three steps, the ASUS BIOS path and a Restart into BIOS button

Type the error code and get three plain steps, down to where the switch sits in your BIOS. Restart into BIOS takes you straight there, no key-mashing at boot.

Low FPS

4 things are slowing you down: the screen cable is in the motherboard, the monitor runs at 60 Hz, Wi-Fi lag spikes and one memory stick. A picture shows where to move the cable

Pitstop names what's slowing you down, worst first: a monitor stuck at 60 Hz, a cable in the wrong port, one memory stick. Fix all does what software can and shows you the rest with a picture.

Lag

The lag starts at your Wi-Fi: 14 lag spikes a minute between the PC and the Wi-Fi, no problems from the Wi-Fi to the internet

One sentence tells you where the lag starts: your Wi-Fi, your router or your internet. Then it tells you what helps.

Proof

A shareable card: 118 to 231 FPS, lag spikes 14 to 1 a minute

Pitstop measures the same minute of play again and makes a card you can share. The numbers are yours; it never promises a gain.

FAQ

Can Pitstop get me banned?

No. Pitstop never touches the game, its files, Vanguard or its driver. It changes Windows settings you could change yourself, and logs each one so it can be undone.

How many FPS will I gain?

Nobody can promise a number. Pitstop finds what's holding your PC back and measures before and after. If nothing is wrong, it says so.

I got VAN 152. Can Pitstop fix it?

No. VAN 152 is a hardware ban, typically about 4 months, and no tool can lift it. "HWID spoofers" get the PC banned again. If you have questions, submit a ticket to Riot support.

Will it turn off security features to make the game run faster?

Never. On Windows 11, Vanguard needs TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, and may ask for Memory integrity and IOMMU. Pitstop helps you turn them on. Riot says enabling IOMMU has a negligible performance impact.

Is the ping the same as in the game?

Close. Riot doesn't publish its server addresses, so Pitstop measures a public host in each server city. The number in the game can differ by a few ms.

Is Pitstop a free alternative to Hone or Razer Cortex?

For VALORANT, yes, and it works differently. Boosters apply a long list of tweaks. Pitstop measures first, fixes only what it found and undoes any of it in one click. It never switches off Windows security that Vanguard may need.

License

Pitstop is MIT licensed. The UI prefers the system font where it has one (SF Pro on Apple devices) and bundles Inter and Geist Mono, both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

VALORANT, Riot Games and Riot Vanguard are trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. Pitstop isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Riot Games. Hone and Razer Cortex are named for comparison only.

Searching Database…

What is this?A one-button Windows app that finds out why a game stutters, lags or won't start, measures it with PresentMon, explains it in plain words and can undo every change in one click.
Is it a library or a standalone program?A standalone Windows desktop app built with Tauri. It ships as a zip with Main.exe, with no installer and no admin rights needed.
How do I get it running?Download pc-game-fps-doctor.zip, unpack the whole folder and start Main.exe. Keep Pitstop next to it, since the two ship together.
Do I need anything installed first? No, to run the zip you need nothing else. Building from source needs Rust 1.85 or newer and the Tauri prerequisites.
Is it safe to use with VALORANT and Vanguard? The README says it never touches the game, Vanguard or Windows security. It can't lift a hardware ban, and nobody can promise a specific FPS gain.
Which Windows versions does it support?Windows 10 and 11 only. It changes Windows settings and does not target macOS or Linux.
Does it need internet? The FPS and error-code checks run locally. The lag check measures public stand-in hosts in each server city, so that part needs internet.
Does it collect anything about me?No. The README lists it as free with no account, no ads and no telemetry.
How does Pitstop measure FPS without touching the game?It runs a 60-second PresentMon capture that reads Windows event tracing and never injects into the game. The 1% low is what the README calls FPS in fights.
Is it a free alternative to Hone or Razer Cortex? For VALORANT, yes, but it works differently. It measures first, fixes only what it found and undoes any of it in one click, instead of applying a long list of tweaks.
What does the lag check actually tell me?It measures latency, jitter and loss at each hop, gives a bufferbloat grade from A to F, and lists the apps using the connection. One sentence says whether the lag starts at your Wi-Fi, router or internet.
Can Pitstop lift a VAN 152 ban?No. VAN 152 is a hardware ban, typically about 4 months, and no tool can lift it. The FAQ warns that HWID spoofers get the PC banned again.
