Awesome Hermes Agent

Awesome License: CC BY 4.0 Validate

Curated skills, tools, integrations, and resources for Hermes Agent, the self-improving agent from Nous Research.

Hermes Agent is the open-source agent maintained by Nous Research. Awesome Hermes Agent is 0xNyk's independent open-source directory for the optional skills, plugins, memory providers, surfaces, and bridges around it. This directory is not an official Nous Research project.

Hermes runtime and optional ecosystem layers

Ecosystem status (last reviewed: 2026-07-16)

Where Do I Start?

Three steps from zero to productive:

  1. Run Hermes: Official docs quickstart (install, CLI, first chat).
  2. Add skills: wondelai/skills (broad library) or litprog-skill (literate programming).
  3. Add a surface: hermes-workspace (Hermes GUI) or mission-control (fleet / dispatch dashboard).

Then use the full list. Every entry has a maturity tag:

Start with a working Hermes conversation before adding ecosystem layers

Tag What it means
production Stable, documented, actively maintained; safe to build on
beta Works but still evolving; expect some rough edges
experimental Proof of concept or early-stage; learn before depending on it

Editorial evidence behind production, beta, and experimental tags

Tags are editorial snapshots based on documentation, setup evidence, maintenance, and adoption signals. Re-check the linked project before depending on it.

Check the trust boundary

An ecosystem listing is a discovery aid, not a security endorsement. Before enabling a community skill, plugin, MCP server, or unattended job, verify who can trigger it, which tools it receives, where commands execute, what credentials it can read, and how you can stop it. Prefer the smallest toolset and an isolated backend for untrusted work.

Hermes capability and permission trust-boundary checklist

Use the official security guide, tools reference, and cron documentation for the current controls.

For the operator routine around /new, /resume, /compress, /branch, export, and pruning, use the Hermes Agent session management guide.

Skills & Plugins

Skills are procedural memory — reusable capabilities that Hermes creates from experience and improves during use. Plugins extend core functionality.

Community Skills

Searching Database…

What is this?A community-curated directory of skills, plugins, memory providers, tools, surfaces, and guides for Hermes Agent, the open-source self-improving agent built by Nous Research. It is maintained independently by 0xNyk, not by Nous Research itself.
Is this the Hermes Agent itself, or just a list of add-ons for it?It is just the index - a README full of links to community skills, plugins, and integrations. The actual agent lives in the separate NousResearch/hermes-agent repo, which has 215k+ stars on its own.
How do I actually get started with Hermes Agent and its skills?Three steps: run Hermes via the official docs quickstart (install, CLI, first chat), then add a skill such as wondelai/skills or litprog-skill, then add a surface like hermes-workspace or mission-control.
Are all the listed skills and plugins production-ready?No. Every entry carries an editorial maturity tag - production, beta, or experimental - and you're expected to recheck the linked project before relying on it.
Is it safe to enable any community skill or MCP server from this list right away? No. The maintainers explicitly call this a discovery aid, not a security endorsement, and tell you to check who can trigger a skill, which tools and credentials it gets, where it runs, and how to stop it before enabling it.
What makes the core Hermes Agent itself special?Per the directory, Hermes Agent is self-improving with a closed learning loop, creates and curates its own skills, keeps persistent memory, supports 20+ messaging platforms and six terminal backends (local, Docker, SSH, Singularity, Modal, Daytona), and can auto-migrate from OpenClaw.
What is the Skills Hub / agentskills.io mentioned in the list?It is described as the open standard for agent skills - skills built for it work across Hermes, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other agents, not just Hermes.
What categories does the directory actually cover? It spans Community Skills, Plugins, Memory Providers, Tools & Utilities, Deployment, Integrations & Bridges, Detection & Media Forensics, Multi-Agent & Swarms, Domain Applications, Forks & Derivatives, and Guides & Documentation.
Is there anything Chinese-language specific in the list?Yes - winterliu6's hermes-skills pack is Chinese-focused, covering 小红书/抖音/公众号 content, a weekly cybersecurity newsletter, and a 企业微信/飞书 IT ops bot, tagged production and already in real-world use.
