Python Exodus Platform License

A visual demonstration utility for Exodus-style portfolio screens, designed to preview custom asset amounts in clearly labeled mockups.

Features • How It Works • Getting Started • Configuration • Usage • Supported Assets • FAQ

How It Works

Exodus Balance Flasher is intended for visual demonstrations and mock portfolio previews only. It does not change blockchain records or actual wallet holdings, and any example values should be treated as simulated data—not proof of funds or a real account balance.

The demo workflow is organized around these components:

FAQ

Does this change real wallet funds?

No. This project is for illustrative previews only. It does not create transactions or change on-chain records. Sample values must not be represented as actual wallet holdings.

Does this access private keys?

The demo is not intended to access private keys or seed phrases. Never share recovery phrases or private keys with demonstration tools.

Will sample values persist after restarting the demo?

If persist_on_restart is enabled in config.json, the demo can retain its sample settings between launches. This does not change or verify actual wallet balances.

Can viewers mistake a demo value for a real balance?

A screenshot of a mockup is not evidence of funds. Viewers should verify wallet holdings independently using trusted wallet records or a block explorer, and all demonstration images should be clearly labeled as simulated.

Which Exodus versions are supported?

The project’s demo compatibility depends on the local environment. No compatibility with modifying the Exodus wallet itself is claimed.

Can I set a balance for custom tokens?

For visual mockups, add an asset ticker to target_balances in config.json. These entries are labels and sample amounts only, not wallet data.

How do I reset the demo values?

Select option 6 (Reset Demo Values) from the menu, or set restore_on_exit: true in config.json to automatically restore when the tool exits.

Searching Database…

What is this?It is a Python terminal tool that makes the Exodus desktop wallet on your own computer display balances you enter in config.json instead of the real ones. The README says it is only for demos and does not change blockchain records.
Is it a wallet, or does it move any coins? No. It does not hold keys, create transactions, or move coins. It only changes what the Exodus app shows on screen.
How do I get it running?Install Python 3.10 or newer, run the dependency install (option 1 in the terminal menu), edit config.json with the amounts you want, then open the preview with option 5.
What do I need installed first? You need Python 3.10+ and the Exodus desktop wallet (v24.x or newer), plus the Python packages rich, cryptography, psutil and requests.
Could a screenshot from this tool be mistaken for real funds?Yes, and that is the main risk. The README says a screenshot of a mockup is not proof of funds, and the repo topics include names like fake-balance-flasher-exodus and trx-fake-exodus, so treat any balance shown this way as fake and never use it to deceive anyone.
Which systems does it support? The README lists Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+. Linux is not listed as a supported target.
Does it touch private keys or seed phrases? The README says the tool is not meant to access private keys or seed phrases, and it warns never to share them with demo tools.
Why does the README stress that it is only a demo?It repeats in several places that simulated balances, screenshots and mock transaction history must not be presented as real funds, proof of funds, or transaction evidence.
Which assets can I set sample amounts for?The README lists about 60 tickers across top-tier, DeFi, Layer 2, stablecoin, meme, gaming and privacy categories, and says the tickers are only labels for sample amounts.
Does it show dollar or euro values?Yes, it can show values in USD or EUR, and the autoupdateprices setting fetches live prices so those displayed values track the market.
