[!NOTE]

From August 22nd, 2026: we're drafting MTProxy WEB Implementation in Telemt!

It uses WebView on your device to create a datachannel!

Telemt is a fast, secure, and feature-rich server written in Rust: it fully implements the official Telegram proxy algo and adds many production-ready improvements

One-command Install and Update

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/telemt/telemt/main/install.sh | sh

Features

Our implementation of TLS-fronting is one of the most deeply debugged, focused, advanced and almost "behaviorally consistent to real": we are confident we have it right - see evidence on our validation and traces

Our Middle-End Pool is fastest by design in standard scenarios, compared to other implementations of connecting to the Middle-End Proxy: non dramatically, but usual

What is this?Telemt is a fast, secure, feature-rich MTProxy server for Telegram, built in Rust with Tokio, implementing the official MTProto proxy algorithm plus extra production-ready features.
Is this a Telegram client app, or the proxy server itself? It's the server software itself, not a client. You run Telemt on your own machine or VPS, and official Telegram apps connect through it using a proxy link.
How do I get it running?Use the one-command install and update script from the Quick Start Guide, or deploy it via the included Docker/Compose files.
Do I need my own server to run it?Yes, Telemt needs a server you control, either bare-metal/VPS (Linux or BSD) or a container; there's a dedicated guide for running it on BSD.
Is the WebView-based browser proxy feature ready to use?No, it's still being drafted as of August 2026. It will use your device's WebView to open a data channel, but it's not a finished feature yet.
Which MTProto proxy modes does it support? It supports all official modes: Classic, Secure (dd prefix), and Fake TLS (ee prefix with SNI fronting), plus replay-attack protection.
What is the traffic masking feature for?Unrecognized connections can be forwarded to a real website (like GitHub) instead of being dropped, making the proxy harder to fingerprint and block.
Why did the author write this in Rust instead of C or Go?The README cites Rust's deterministic resource management (RAII), lack of a garbage collector, memory safety, and Tokio's async model as reasons for long-running reliability.
How do I debug or inspect what the proxy is doing?Telemt supports extensive trace and debug logging controlled via the RUST_LOG environment variable.
