Mihon
What is this?Mihon is a free, open-source manga reader for Android. It lets you discover and read manga, webtoons, comics, and more on your phone.
How do I get it, and what does my phone need?Install it like any Android app from the Download section of the project page. It requires Android 8.0 or higher.
So where does the manga come from — is any of it built in?No. The app hosts zero content and its developers are not affiliated with any content providers — Mihon is purely the reader, the content lives elsewhere.
Does it work offline, and can I back up my library?Yes — you get local reading of content, and backups can be kept on the device to read offline or pushed to a cloud service of your choice.
Is Mihon connected to Tachiyomi?By lineage, yes — the repo's own topics include tachiyomi and tachiyomi-alternative, positioning Mihon as a free, open-source alternative to the well-known Tachiyomi reader.
How much does it cost?Nothing — it is free and open source under the Apache 2.0 license, developed by the Mihon Open Source Project. No paid plans are mentioned.
What are similar projects?mangayomi, venera, Ehviewer_CN_SXJ, Venera-Next, YunX, streak, vivi-music, xManager
Which topics is it in?manga-reader, manga, reader, backup, downloader, offline-first, android-app, kotlin, app, mobile-app, offline, mobile
