What is this?
This is a Chinese-language article series that walks line by line through the full source code of the Linux 0.11 kernel, explaining operating system design concepts as if reading a novel.
Is this a tool I install, or a reading guide?
It is a reading guide: a collection of written chapters (articles) with an accompanying architecture diagram, not runnable software.
Who is this written for?
Chinese-reading developers and students who want to understand real OS kernel internals (memory management, interrupts, process scheduling, syscalls) by reading actual Linux 0.11 source line by line.
Where should a beginner start reading?
Start with the prologue (开篇词) and then Part 1, which covers the very first lines of boot code before the kernel enters protected mode.
What Linux 0.11 internals does it actually cover?
It covers the boot sequence, segmentation and paging, memory and interrupt initialization, the first fork and process creation, loading and executing the shell, page faults, and signal handling.
Does it include diagrams, or just text?
The repo includes an architecture diagram ('架构图') alongside the chaptered text explanations.
