What is this?
Tomorrow Theme is a colour scheme for code editors: a set of syntax-highlighting palettes with muted, legible colours, first published in February 2011.
Is this an app I run, or something my editor applies?
It is not a standalone app — Tomorrow is an editor theme: a colour palette your editor or IDE applies to its syntax highlighting.
So how do I get it into my editor?
There is no installer — the repository is the theme itself. You copy the theme file for your editor from the repo and drop it into your editor's theme directory.
Which colour variants does it come in?
Five palettes: the base light Tomorrow plus four dark Night versions — Tomorrow Night, Tomorrow Night Blue, Tomorrow Night Eighties and Tomorrow Night Bright.
What is the idea behind its colours?
Colours should help you work: easily identifiable hues that add meaning to code and enhance legibility, kept muted rather than loud.
How old is it, and where did it come from?
The author refined it as a personal editor theme from 2005 before releasing it publicly as Tomorrow Theme on 14 February 2011.
