What is this?
BetterGI (Better Genshin Impact) is an open-source Windows assistant that uses computer vision to automate tasks in Genshin Impact — picking up loot, skipping dialogue, fishing, farming domains and more.
Is this a separate app I run alongside the game?
Yes, it is a standalone Windows desktop app. It draws a mask window over the game UI that shows its logs and image-recognition results while it plays.
How do I get it running?
Download a build from GitHub Releases (or the faster CNB mirror for the newest test builds), launch the app, choose a capture method on the Start page and click Start.
Does my PC need anything special to run it?
Windows 10 or newer 64-bit plus the .NET 8 runtime (the app prompts to download it if missing). Image recognition is performance-heavy, so the README recommends a PC that runs the game smoothly at medium quality 60 fps.
Does it work with any resolution and graphics settings?
Only 16:9 resolutions are supported (1920x1080 windowed is recommended); HDR and NVIDIA filters must be off, and the app should be restarted after window, resolution or monitor changes. Antivirus software may also block its simulated clicks, so add it to the whitelist.
What can it actually automate?
While you play: auto pickup, story skipping with dialogue choices, commission and invitation handling, quick teleports and semi-auto fishing. Unattended jobs: fully automatic Genius Invokation TCG matches, woodcutting, domain farming, fishing, ley line blossoms, a rhythm game, cooking and artifact dismantling, plus a one-click daily routine and keyboard/mouse macro recording.
Can it clear combat content by itself?
Yes — auto domain mode loops on its own: it unlocks the domain, fights, walks to the tree and claims rewards, and there is an auto mode for a harder combat stage used to farm artifacts. It also plays Genius Invokation TCG PvE like character invitations and weekly guest challenges.
Is it free and open source?
Yes. The project is open source under GPL-3.0, downloads from GitHub Releases are free, and the latest test versions come straight from automated builds, with a faster CNB mirror if GitHub is slow.
