Notice

Kavita is being actively developed and should be considered beta software until the 1.0.0 release. Kavita may be subject to changes in how the platform functions as it is being built out toward the vision. You may lose data and have to restart. The Kavita team strives to avoid any data loss.

Donate

If you like Kavita, have gotten good use out of it, or feel like you want to say thanks with a few bucks, feel free to donate. Money will go towards expenses related to Kavita. Back us through OpenCollective. You can also use Paypal, however your name will not show below. Kavita+ is also an option which provides funding and a benefit.

Kavita+

Kavita+ is a paid subscription that offers premium (internet-facing) features that otherwise wouldn't be feasible to include in Kavita. It is run and operated by majora2007, the creator and primary developer of Kavita.

If you are interested, you can use the promo code FIRSTTIME for your initial signup for 2$ off the first payment. Get some sweet features, while supporting majora2007's goal to go full time on Kavita development.

If you already contribute via OpenCollective, please reach out to majora2007 for a provisioned license.

What file formats can I actually import into Kavita?Comics/manga in cbr, cbz, zip/rar/rar5 and 7zip, plus books in epub and pdf.
Is Kavita stable enough for daily use?The project explicitly calls itself beta software until a 1.0.0 release, warning that behavior can change and data loss is possible, though the team tries to avoid it.
What is Kavita+?Kavita+ is an optional paid subscription for internet-facing premium features like metadata, reviews, ratings, recommendations, and scrobbling that aren't practical to bundle for free.
Does it support OPDS for third-party reading apps?Yes, Kavita exposes an OPDS feed so you can connect compatible e-reader apps to your library.
