Zygisk Next API

Zygisk Next provides an API for injecting into init-oriented processes. See zygisk_next_api.h for more information.

Example usage can be found in ZygiskNextModuleSample.

Zygisk Next also supports application callbacks for HyperOS Rust Runtime, which are documented in docs/hyos_runtime.md. This is a native-only API and does not provide ART or JNI compatibility to regular Zygisk modules.

What is this?Zygisk Next is a standalone, native reimplementation of the Zygisk API: it brings Magisk-style Zygisk module support to KernelSU and can also replace Magisk's own built-in Zygisk.
How do I install Zygisk Next? You flash it as a module through your root manager, either KernelSU's ksud or Magisk, after confirming no other root implementation is installed.
What KernelSU or Magisk version do I need? For KernelSU you need at least version 10940 with ksud 11575 or newer; for Magisk you need at least version 26402 with its built-in Zygisk turned off.
Can I run this alongside Magisk's built-in Zygisk? No, Magisk's built-in Zygisk must be disabled first, and the device can't have more than one root implementation installed at the same time.
Is the code open source? No. Starting from v4-0.9.2 it left the GPL-3.0 license, and all rights are now reserved: the software cannot be modified, redistributed, or have pieces extracted into other projects.
What can developers build with the Zygisk Next API?The zygisknextapi.h header lets native code inject into init-oriented processes, with a sample in ZygiskNextModuleSample; it's native-only and does not give ART or JNI compatibility like regular Zygisk modules.
Does it support HyperOS devices?Yes, it adds application callback support for HyperOS's Rust Runtime, documented separately in docs/hyosruntime.md.
Can I help translate the WebUI?Yes, translation contributions are made via pull requests to the project's i18n branch.
