A curated list of awesome things related to GitHub Actions.

Actions are triggered by GitHub platform events directly in a repo and run on-demand workflows either on Linux, Windows or macOS virtual machines or inside a container in response. With GitHub Actions you can automate your workflow from idea to production.

What is this?A curated, categorized index of GitHub Actions: ready-made actions, workflow examples, official resources and tutorials you can plug into your repository's automation.
So it's not a tool to install — what does the list actually look like?A README index, not an installable tool: 25 sections from GitHub tooling to static analysis, deployment and notifications, each entry a one-line description linking to the action's repo.
How do I go from this list to something running in my repo?Pick an entry, open its repo, and reference it as a step in your workflow YAML — e.g. actions/checkout to set up your repository, with actions/starter-workflows as template workflows.
Beyond checkout, which official actions come in handy?actions/cache for caching dependencies and build outputs, the setup-* family to pin language versions (Node, Python, Go, Java, Ruby and more), and housekeeping actions like stale and labeler.
Can I copy or republish the list itself?Yes — it's licensed CC0-1.0, effectively public domain, so you can reuse and remix it freely.
