Pinloop CLI

npm version license: MIT node >= 22 website

Pinloop is a job search tool built for your coding agent to run from a terminal.

It holds a large collection of frequently updated job postings, can hold your resume and any other preferences, and calls AI models to evaluate postings against what it knows about you.

Try it

You don't run anything yourself. Paste this sentence into your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) and it installs Pinloop and walks you through setup:

Run npm install -g pinloop, then run pinloop welcome and follow the instructions.

Install

Needs Node 22 or newer.

npm install -g pinloop

Start

pinloop

Run on its own, pinloop prints instructions written for a coding agent. pinloop welcome gets your coding agent to walk you through a more structured onboarding flow, and pinloop guide gives it the full usage instructions.

Accounts and payments

Run pinloop login to make an account.

The commands talk to Pinloop's servers, so everything except the guide needs an account. Login goes through a browser, with no password.

A free account gets a limited number of judged postings and semantic searches per month. You can use your own coding agent subscription of choice to instead have the agent judge postings and upload those judgments to Pinloop for free. Run pinloop upgrade to raise the free plan's limits and gain access to scheduled routines and watches which run unattended to review postings even when your laptop is closed. Keyword search, filtering, saved lists of postings, stored profile documents (e.g., resumes), and non-scheduled routines cost nothing.

License

MIT. See LICENSE.

The license covers the CLI only.

Searching Database…

What is this?Pinloop is a job search tool built to run from a terminal through a coding agent. It holds a large, hourly-refreshed collection of job postings worldwide, stores your resume and preferences, and calls AI models to judge postings against your profile.
Do I run this myself, or does my coding agent operate it?You don't run it directly yourself; you paste an install sentence into a coding agent like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, and the agent installs Pinloop and operates its commands for you.
How do I get it running?Paste the install sentence into your coding agent to have it install Pinloop, then run pinloop welcome for guided onboarding or pinloop guide for full usage instructions.
Do I need anything besides Node to use it?You need Node 22 or newer, and you need to run pinloop login to create an account since almost every command talks to Pinloop's servers.
What do I get for free versus what requires an account or upgrade?Keyword search, filters, saved lists, stored resumes, and non-scheduled routines are free with no account. A free account adds a limited number of AI-judged postings and semantic searches per month, while upgrading unlocks higher limits plus unattended scheduled routines and watches.
What does the MIT license actually cover here? The MIT license only covers the open-source CLI code itself, not Pinloop's servers, account system, or paid plans.
How often are job postings updated?Postings are refreshed hourly and pulled from millions of worldwide listings across all white-collar sectors.
What does 'judging' a posting mean?Pinloop calls AI models to evaluate each job posting against your stored resume and preferences, so your coding agent can tell you which postings are actually worth your time.
Can I avoid paying for AI judgments entirely?Yes, you can use your own coding agent's subscription to have it judge postings and upload the results to Pinloop for free instead of using Pinloop's own AI quota.
How do I log in since there's no password?Run pinloop login, which opens a browser-based flow to create or access your account without a password.
