https://github.com/yifeikong/interview

What is this?A curated list of questions to ask the interviewer at the end of a technical interview — about the team, tech stack, processes, compensation, and company culture.
Is this an app I install, or just a document I read?Neither — it is a single README document: a categorized question list with sections like Technology, Team, Company, Business, Remote work, Compensation, and Benefits. There is no code to build or run.
How am I supposed to use it before an interview?Skim the sections, mark the questions you care about, research online the ones you can answer yourself, and bring only the rest to your interview.
Can I just run through the whole list with the interviewer? No — the README warns against asking every question, to respect the interviewer's time. The list is also unsorted and not every question fits every role, so pick what matters for your offer.
Can I reuse or translate the list for my own repo?It is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, so you can share and adapt it (including translating), but derivatives must credit the source and carry the same share-alike license.
Why did the author create this list?He noticed candidates he interviewed asked too few questions and wasted the chance to learn about the company — the list began as his personal set of interview questions.
What topics do the questions cover?Responsibilities and onboarding, tech stack, testing and CI/CD, team process and code review, business and funding, remote work, office layout, compensation, bonuses, vacation, perks, and conflict handling.
Are some questions meant to expose red flags?Yes — the author gradually added questions where a bad answer would be a red flag about the company, such as how teams handle production incidents and blame.
Is the list still growing?Yes — the README invites PRs for interview questions you asked that are not on the list, and community additions are already mixed in; it also points to The Joel Test and Julia Evans' questions for more inspiration.
