Awesome-stock-resources
What is this?A curated list of websites offering free stock photography, illustrations, vector graphics, videos, patterns, textures, fonts, icons, and music for use in design and development projects.
Is this a tool or just a list of links? It's purely a markdown list of external resources organized by category, not a tool, app, or library you install or run.
How is the list organized so I can find what I need?Resources are grouped by media type (photos, illustrations, vectors, videos, patterns, textures, fonts, icons, music, templates) and within photography further split by license type like CC0, custom license, public domain, and attribution-required.
Do I need to check licenses before using any resource from the list?Yes, licensing varies by site and category, so you should check the license link next to each entry since some require attribution and others are CC0 or public domain.
Are all the links guaranteed to work? Not necessarily; the maintainer relies on the community to flag dead links via pull requests since it's a manually curated list.
Who is this list for?Designers and developers looking for free visual and audio assets like photos, icons, fonts, and background music for their projects.
Does the list include paid resources too?Yes, alongside the free resources there is a dedicated section for Paid Resources, plus sections for HTML Templates, aggregated content sites, and color tools.
Are there resources beyond images, like icons and music?Yes, the list also covers icon fonts, icon packages and collections, patterns, textures, fonts, and a Sounds and Music section.
How often is the list updated? It is actively community-maintained through pull requests, with the author periodically merging new resources and removing broken links.
Is attribution always required? No, it varies by resource: many are CC0 or public domain with no attribution needed, while others explicitly require attribution, and this is labeled per section and per link.
What are similar projects?awesome-design, design-resources-for-developers, public-api-lists, simple-icons, awesome-notebookLM-prompts, Badges4-README.md-Profile, tabler-icons, go-patterns
Which topics is it in?icon-font, resource, patterns, templates, font, icons, ruby, music, design, awesome, awesome-list, list
