What is this?HyperUI is a free, open-source collection of Tailwind CSS components for marketing sites, web apps, and eCommerce projects, browsable at hyperui.dev.
Is this a component library I install, or just a site to copy from? There's no package or library to install. It's a catalog of ready-made HTML/Tailwind markup you browse on the website and paste directly into your own code.
How do I actually use a HyperUI component?Find a component you like on hyperui.dev, copy its code, and paste it straight into your project.
Do I need Tailwind CSS already set up in my project?Yes, the markup relies on Tailwind utility classes, so you need an existing Tailwind CSS project to paste the components into.
Do I need React or another JS framework to use these components? No, components are plain HTML with Tailwind classes, so they work in any framework or a static HTML page as long as Tailwind is wired up.
What kinds of components does HyperUI include? It covers marketing site sections, general web app UI pieces, and eCommerce elements like product cards, carts, and checkout forms.
What is the hyperui.dev site itself built with? The site is an Astro project deployed on Cloudflare, using packages like @astrojs/cloudflare and wrangler.
Can I run the site locally to preview styles?Yes, cloning the repo and running pnpm run css:blog lets you preview the blog's Tailwind styles locally.
Is HyperUI tied to a specific Tailwind CSS version? It targets Tailwind CSS v4, so components are built and tested against the latest Tailwind features and syntax.
