Lucide

Lucide is an open-source icon library that provides 1600+ vector (svg) files for displaying icons and symbols in digital and non-digital projects. The library aims to make it easier for designers and developers to incorporate icons into their projects by providing several official packages to make it easier to use these icons in your project.

About brand logos

Lucide does not accept brand logos, and we do not plan to add them in the future. This is due to a combination of legal restrictions, design consistency concerns, and practical maintenance reasons.

What is this?Lucide is an open-source icon library with 1600+ vector (svg) files, made by the community as a fork of Feather Icons, for use in digital and non-digital projects.
Is it a library I install, or just a pile of SVG files? It's an icon library shipped as official packages per ecosystem: lucide-react, @lucide/vue, @lucide/svelte, lucide-solid, lucide-preact, lucide-react-native, @lucide/angular, @lucide/astro, plus lucide-static for plain SVG files.
How do I add the icons to my project?Install the official package for your stack from npm (for example lucide-react for React, @lucide/vue for Vue) and import icons as components; there is also a Figma plugin for designers.
Do I need anything besides my framework to use it?No — the icons are regular packages that plug into an existing React, Vue, Angular, etc. setup. Only developing Lucide itself requires Node.js >= 24.11.1 with pnpm.
Are there icons it deliberately won't include?Yes — brand logos. Lucide does not accept them and never plans to, citing legal restrictions, design consistency concerns, and maintenance reasons.
Is Lucide meant for designers, developers, or both? Both: developers import icons from framework packages in code, while designers can work with the same icon set inside Figma via the Lucide plugin.
How is Lucide related to Feather Icons?Lucide started as a fork of Feather Icons and is now an independent community-maintained project that has grown to over 1600 icons.
What if my project uses no framework at all?Use lucide-static — it ships the icons as plain SVG files you can drop into plain HTML or any tool that accepts SVG.
Does it only work for digital products? No — the README targets digital and non-digital projects alike, since the icons are ordinary vector SVGs usable anywhere that accepts them.
