🛠️ 技术与资源

📦 外挂资源

系统的核心设计:播放器与资源完全解耦。一份学习资源就是一个可静态托管的目录,包含 book.json 描述文件、每课的 MP3 音频与 LRC 歌词。

目录结构

your-book/
├── book.json          # 课本描述文件(必需)
├── cover.png          # 课本封面(可选)
├── unit1.mp3          # 课文音频
├── unit1.lrc          # 课文歌词(中英对照)
├── unit2.mp3
└── unit2.lrc

book.json

{
  "name": "新概念英语",
  "level": "1 st",
  "cover": "cover.png",
  "units": [
    { "title": "Unit 1 Hello", "filename": "unit1" },
    { "title": "Unit 2 Nice to meet you", "filename": "unit2" }
  ]
}

系统按 ${bookPath}/${filename}.mp3 与 ${bookPath}/${filename}.lrc 拼接资源地址。

LRC 歌词格式

标准 LRC 时间标签,| 分隔英文与中文:

[00:12.34]Good morning, class. | 早上好,同学们。
[00:15.00]Stand up, please. | 请起立。
[00:18.50]Sit down, please. | 请坐。

接入自己的资源

  1. 准备资源:按上述结构生成 book.json、MP3 与 LRC 文件,托管到任意支持 CORS 的静态服务器(GitHub Pages、Vercel、OSS、Nginx 等)

  2. 注册课本:在 data.json 的 books 数组中添加一条记录:

    {
      "key": "MYBOOK",
      "title": "My English Book",
      "path": "https://your-domain.com/your-book"
    }

  3. 访问:部署播放器后,通过 https://your-player.com/#MYBOOK 直达该课本

⚠️ 资源服务器需返回 CORS 头(如 Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *),否则浏览器会拦截跨域请求 book.json 与 LRC 文件。

What is this?A web-based player for the 'New Concept English' (新概念英语) textbook series covering all four books, offering full-lesson audio narration, click-to-replay sentence reading, and line-by-line Chinese-English translation.
Is this an app I install, or something I just open in a browser?It is a pure static web app built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no backend, no installation, you just open it in a browser.
How do I start using it?Just open the live demo URL in your browser, pick one of the four books, and click any sentence to replay that line's audio.
Can I load my own lesson audio instead of the built-in content?Yes — the player is decoupled from its content: host a folder with a book.json file, per-lesson MP3 audio and LRC lyric files on any static server, then register it in data.json. The resource server must send CORS headers or the browser will block the requests.
Are the Chinese translations fully accurate?The Chinese subtitles were generated by Gemini AI and manually refined, but the author notes small errors may still remain and welcomes corrections.
Which book should I start with as a beginner?Book 1 ('First Things First', 144 lessons, ~600 words) is for absolute beginners building pronunciation basics, while Book 4 ('Fluency in English', ~3500-4000 words) targets advanced learners preparing for exams like the postgraduate entrance test, IELTS or TOEFL.
Where does the audio come from?The American-accent lesson audio is sourced from the tangx/New-Concept-English GitHub project, while the Chinese subtitles are generated by Gemini AI and then reviewed.
Can I host my own lesson content on this player?Yes — since the player and content are fully decoupled, you can host a directory with book.json, MP3 audio, and LRC lyric files on any CORS-enabled static host (GitHub Pages, Vercel, OSS, Nginx) and register it in data.json.
Is this free to use?Yes, the project is MIT-licensed and the live demo is free for personal, non-commercial English study; the underlying textbook content itself is not owned by the author.
Why did the author build this?The author, a developer currently fighting leukemia (CMML), built and maintains it to keep sharing technology and help more people learn English while coping with illness.
