Beszel

Beszel is a lightweight server monitoring platform that includes Docker statistics, historical data, and alert functions.

It has a friendly web interface, simple configuration, and is ready to use out of the box. It supports automatic backup, multi-user, OAuth authentication, and API access.

What is this?Beszel is a lightweight server monitoring platform with a friendly web interface. It tracks historical metrics and Docker container stats, sends alerts, and is ready to use out of the box.
Is it a single app, or something I have to install on every server I want to watch? It has two components: a hub — a web application built on PocketBase that hosts the dashboard — and an agent that runs on each system you want to monitor and reports metrics to the hub.
How do I get it running?Follow the quick start guide at beszel.dev. Setup needs little manual configuration, and you should be up and running in a few minutes.
Do all of these metrics work on any OS?Most are host-wide, but some sensors are Linux-specific — fan speed, for example, is read via /sys/class/hwmon on Linux only.
Is it really lighter than other monitoring tools? That is the pitch: the README claims it is smaller and less resource-intensive than leading solutions, with simple configuration and out-of-the-box readiness as design goals.
Do my server metrics have to leave my machines? No external service is involved: agents on your machines report to your own hub, and backups can go to local disk or your own S3-compatible storage.
Does it understand ZFS?Yes — it tracks ZFS pool capacity, usage, health, I/O throughput, scrub status and per-dataset usage, and memory stats include the ZFS ARC cache.
