Motion Video Kit

A Claude Code skill (also usable as plain context for any LLM) for making premium, launch-style commercials for real businesses with AI-generated footage, code-built motion (HTML/GSAP), selective Three.js, and an independent-critic quality loop.

It packages what was learned from studying 28 professional SaaS launch films and from building two full sample commercials through dozens of rounds of independent critique: a calm service film, and a 40 s Three.js product spec ad for a foldable phone in which every frame is code:

Install (Claude Code)

git clone https://github.com/echris6/motion-video-kit.git
cp -r motion-video-kit/business-motion-film ~/.claude/skills/ # all projects
# or, per project:
cp -r motion-video-kit/business-motion-film <your-project>/.claude/skills/

Then ask for a business commercial, sample reel or explainer, or for a review of one, and the skill loads. It works best with HyperFrames for rendering, but the principles, prompts and checks are renderer-agnostic.

Other LLMs: paste business-motion-film/SKILL.md plus the reference files you need into the context.

Requirements for the scripts

ffmpeg/ffprobe (with the ebur128 filter). Optional: Node 22+ and HyperFrames for the lab template.

What is this?A Claude Code skill kit (also usable as plain context for any LLM) that packages the process for making premium, launch-style AI business videos — a critic loop, motion grammar, quality checks, audio rules, a business playbook and Three.js patterns, drawn from studying 28 professional SaaS launch films.
Is this a video editor or a set of instructions for an AI agent? It's not an editor — it's a packaged skill (SKILL.md plus reference files, prompts and scripts) that teaches Claude Code, or any LLM pasted into a chat context, how to plan, build and critique a motion-graphics commercial.
How do I install and use the skill?Install it as a Claude Code skill, then simply ask Claude for a business commercial, sample reel, explainer, or a review of one and the skill loads automatically; for other LLMs, paste business-motion-film/SKILL.md plus the needed reference files into the chat context.
What do I need installed for the included scripts to work?ffmpeg/ffprobe with the ebur128 filter for the measurement scripts; Node 22+ and HyperFrames are optional, needed only for the isolated-component lab template.
Does it work with any video renderer? The principles, prompts and checks are renderer-agnostic, but the kit is tuned to work best with HyperFrames; also note that quoted market prices are a September 2026 snapshot and studio reach numbers are unverified studio claims that should be re-checked.
Who is this kit for?People producing launch-style AI-generated commercials for real businesses who want a reproducible, critique-driven production workflow instead of ad-hoc prompting.
What is the Gauntlet critic loop? It's the kit's quality-control process: builder and judge are kept strictly separate, fresh critics review the actual rendered footage item-by-item against a ledger, using the included ready-to-use critic prompts.
What's inside the motion grammar?Six core motion rules plus a catalog of 16 reusable motion mechanisms, along with notes on all 28 reference launch films the author studied (linked, not redistributed).
Does it help with pricing and sales, not just the video itself?Yes — a business playbook covers vertical-specific buying evidence and price anchors, a pilot-offer template, and honesty rules for how AI-generated footage can be presented to clients.
What are the Three.js patterns used for?Deterministic, seekable 3D scenes for things like exploded product views with projected callouts, photos pinned in 3D context, and animated spec overlays, built with a realism checklist for matching a real device's motion frame by frame.
