What is this?
A self-hosted temporary email service built on Cloudflare's free tier: create disposable email addresses on your own domain, receive mail (with attachments), send mail via SMTP/Resend, and manage everything through a modern web UI, Telegram bot, or admin console.
Is this a hosted service I just sign up for, or do I deploy my own instance?
You deploy your own instance on your own Cloudflare account (Workers, Pages, D1, R2) — it runs at zero cost on Cloudflare's free services rather than being a third-party hosted product.
How do I get it running?
Follow the project's 'Quick Start' deployment doc, which walks through deploying the Worker backend, the Vue frontend to Cloudflare Pages, and the D1 database to your own Cloudflare account (a GitHub Actions deployment guide is also provided).
What do I need before deploying this?
A Cloudflare account to host the Pages frontend, Workers backend, D1 database, KV/R2 storage, and Email Routing — plus your own domain for the temp-mail addresses.
Any deployment pitfalls to watch out for?
When adding DNS records through Resend for a 3-level domain (a.b.com), you must delete the extra subdomain prefix Resend auto-generates, or verification will fail because it ends up creating a.b.b.com instead.
Is there a mobile app for managing my inbox?
There's a community-built companion app called 'CloudMail' (Expo/React Native) for Android that provides an admin backend, address management, inbox/sent views, and one-tap verification-code copying, compatible with this project's API.
Where does my email data actually live?
Everything is stored in your own Cloudflare account: Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) is the main database, with KV and R2 (or S3) used for attachment storage — nothing is sent to the project maintainers' infrastructure.
How does the automatic verification code detection work?
Cloudflare Workers AI is used to automatically scan incoming emails and extract verification codes, confirmation links, and service links without manual searching.
Can AI agents use this mailbox directly?
Yes — the project ships a built-in 'cf-temp-mail-agent-mail' skill so AI agents can read and manage the temp mailbox programmatically.
Does it integrate with Telegram?
It has full Telegram Bot support, including push notifications for new mail and a Telegram mini-app for managing the mailbox directly in chat.
Why is the email parsing so reliable?
Mail parsing is done with a Rust-compiled WASM module, which the project says can successfully parse emails that Node.js-based parsers fail on, while staying very fast.
