What is this?
This is an admin dashboard (back-office management system) built with Vue 2 and Element UI, meant to manage a shop/food-ordering app: users, shops, products, and permissions.
Is it a standalone app or a template I build on top of?
It's a template/starter project you build on: a Vue 2 single-page app styled with Element UI that you clone and extend for your own admin needs.
How do I get it running locally?
Clone the repo, then run the npm scripts: 'npm run local' or 'npm run dev' to start the dev server, and 'npm run build' to produce a production build.
What do I need installed before running it?
Node.js 4.0+ and npm 3.0+ are required; the project was developed on macOS with Node 6.10.0.
Does it work out of the box without a backend?
No — all data is fetched live from a real server, so it's tied to the companion backend project ('node-elm') rather than being a self-contained demo with mock data.
Where does this run?
It's a web application that runs in the browser, built and served via webpack.
Any gotcha when previewing the live demo?
The live preview and its API require HTTPS access to work correctly.
What features does the dashboard include out of the box?
Login/logout, adding shops and products, data visualization/charts, user management, shop management, food management, permission verification, admin settings, and a rich text editor.
Is this part of a bigger project?
Yes — it's the admin management piece of a larger stack that includes a separate frontend storefront project and a native app project, all powered by the same backend ('node-elm').
What charting and editing libraries does it use?
It uses echarts for charts and vue-quill-editor plus vue-simplemde for rich text/markdown editing, alongside Element UI for the UI components.
