wuzz

Interactive cli tool for HTTP inspection.

Wuzz command line arguments are similar to cURL's arguments, so it can be used to inspect/modify requests copied from the browser's network inspector with the "copy as cURL" feature.

What is this?Wuzz is an interactive command-line tool for inspecting and tweaking HTTP requests and responses in a terminal UI.
Is this a one-shot command like curl, or something I navigate interactively? It's a terminal UI (TUI) app: you launch it and then move between the URL, headers, body and response panes with keybindings, editing and resending the request live instead of retyping a shell command.
How do I install wuzz?Build it with Go (go install, requires Go 1.10+), grab a prebuilt binary release, or install through Apt, Apk, Scoop, Nix, or X-CMD.
Do I need Go installed to use it?Only if you build it from source with go install; otherwise a prebuilt binary or your OS package manager (Apt, Apk, Scoop, Nix) skips the Go requirement entirely.
Any rough edges to expect? The project's own TODO list admits navigation could be better, there's no autocompletion yet, and tests are still missing.
Does this run on Windows and macOS too, or just Linux? It's cross-platform since it's a Go binary; the docs even distinguish the config path for Linux versus 'other platforms'.
How is wuzz different from just using curl?It accepts curl-style arguments so you can paste a browser's 'copy as cURL' request straight in, but then wraps it in an interactive terminal UI where you can tweak the URL, method, headers and body live and resend it instead of retyping a command.
How do I navigate the interface?Function keys jump straight to sections (F2 URL, F3 query params, F4 method, F5 body, F6 headers, F7 search, F8/F9 response headers/body), Tab and Shift+Tab move between views, and Ctrl+R sends the request.
Can I search or filter the response body?Yes, regular expressions work by default, and pressing Ctrl+T switches to a format-aware query syntax for HTML and JSON responses.
Can I change wuzz's default behavior?Yes, you can override defaults in a config.toml file at $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/wuzz/config.toml on Linux (or ~/.wuzz/config.toml elsewhere), or point to a custom file with -c/--config.
