What is this?
AppMarket is a cross-platform app store client built with Kotlin Multiplatform that aggregates several Chinese Android app stores (Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO, Huawei, Honor, Samsung, TapTap, Wandoujia) so you can search, download and update apps from one place on Android or desktop.
Is this a server-based app store or just a client?
It is a pure client with no backend of its own - it connects directly to each vendor's own app-store service and downloads APKs or diff patches straight from those sources.
How do I build and run it?
Build it yourself with JDK 21 or newer using the included Gradle Wrapper; building the Android target additionally needs the Android SDK (compileSdk 37, minSdk 26), and the same codebase produces a desktop build for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Do I need Root to install apps silently?
Silent installation needs either Shizuku (a no-root privileged service) or an actual root method such as KernelSU, Magisk or APatch; without one of those you just get the normal system install-confirmation popup.
Which platforms does it run on?
Android 8.0 (API 26) and up on mobile, plus a desktop build for Windows 10 x64/ARM64, macOS 12 Monterey and up (Apple Silicon or Intel), and mainstream modern Linux distributions with X11 or Wayland.
How does the incremental update system work?
AppMarket downloads a small diff/patch package and merges it locally with the already-installed original APK using its built-in patch-restoration engine, which can cut update traffic by roughly 70-90% compared to downloading the full new APK.
What is device fingerprint spoofing used for?
Built-in and custom MarketProfiles let you simulate a specific phone model, Android version, SDK level, resolution and region, so you can see and download apps that a store would otherwise hide for your real device or location.
What does the search and update result filtering do?
It automatically hides promoted/ad listings, quick-apps (instant apps) and pre-registration entries, and trims marketing subtitles from app names so results stay clean.
Can I use a different installer than the built-in ones?
Yes, besides the standard system installer, Shizuku and Root silent installs, AppMarket can also hand the downloaded APK off to another third-party installer or distribution app.
