What is this?A curated list of awesome things related to Vite.js — hand-picked links to official resources, scaffolding tools and starter templates from across the Vite ecosystem.
Is this something I install, or just a page I read?Just a page: one README of categorized links, nothing to run. Sections go from Official Resources and Get Started scaffolders to Templates grouped by stack — Vanilla, Vue 3, Vue 2, React — with a table-of-contents menu in the top-right corner for navigation.
I'm new to Vite — where should I start in this list?Head to Official Resources for the docs and the v4 migration guide, then Get Started: create-vite scaffolds your first Vite project, with more specialized scaffolders listed alongside.
What's the catch with a list like this?It only curates links: every entry is an independent third-party project, so quality and upkeep vary per repo. The CI's awesome-lint run keeps the list's own formatting tidy — it doesn't vet the linked projects.
I don't use Vue or React — is this still useful for me?Yes — the Vanilla section is framework-free: a TypeScript library starter producing CJS/ESM/IIFE builds, a no-JS Tailwind template, plus Alpine and Phaser starters.
Do these templates only cover plain websites?Mostly web apps, but the list also indexes Electron scaffolding, a Chrome extension boilerplate with Manifest v3 and HMR, a Tauri desktop template, and mobile starters like vulcan and vue3-vant-mobile.
Which ready-made admin dashboards does it list?Plenty on the Vue side: vue-vben-admin (Vue 3 + Ant Design Vue + TypeScript), vue-pure-admin, Vue Naive, arco-admin, antdv-pro and Element-plus based vue-admin-box; React has react-xs-admin, vite-mui-ts and more.
Is the list still maintained? It started in August 2020, is not archived on GitHub, and has grown past 17,000 stars — an established reference rather than an abandoned side project.
Which scaffolding tools are featured besides create-vite?create-vitawind for Tailwind projects, create-nx-workspace for Nx + React + Vitest setups, bati for Vike projects, and create-nitro-app for full-stack Vite apps on Nitro.
