Most usage tools read local logs. That shows the total cost of a call or session, but it misses the request-time context assembled before the model is invoked: system prompts, tool schemas, MCP blocks, tool results, cache reads/writes, and previous thinking blocks.

Development on DCP has slowed because most new context-management work has moved to Sleev and the sleev CLI. Sleev is a local proxy for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode that builds on DCP's core ideas with newer context-management features and will work with any harness/client.
Cut Claude Code's input tokens by rendering bulky context as images — the same system prompt, tool docs, and history, in a fraction of the tokens.
