🌳 Tiny & elegant JavaScript HTTP client based on the Fetch API
The name “SWR” is derived from stale-while-revalidate, a cache invalidation strategy popularized by HTTP RFC 5861. SWR first returns the data from cache (stale), then sends the request (revalidate), and finally comes with the up-to-date data again.
The fetch() function is a Promise-based mechanism for programmatically making web requests in the browser.
Snippets target current evergreen browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari). Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft, so IE-specific fallbacks have been removed. If you still need them, see the last IE-compatible version.
